Melting

Finkl’s premium steel starts with tightly controlled scrap metal melted using Electric Arc Furnaces located in Chicago, Illinois and Sorel, Canada. Further refining takes place in Ladle Metallurgical Furnaces, followed by Vacuum Degassing. An additional melting process called Vacuum Arc Remelting produces premium quality material for the most stringent applications.

Forging
